After what felt like an endless stretch of grey skies, cool mornings and unpredictable spring weather, Victoria is finally getting a proper taste of summer this week.
Environment Canada is forecasting a stretch of sunshine and warm temperatures across Greater Victoria, with Wednesday expected to reach a high of 23°C under mainly sunny skies.
Humidex values are also expected to make it feel closer to 25°C during the warmest part of the day.
The warm weather is expected to stick around for several days too.
Thursday is forecast to remain mainly sunny with a high of 21°C, while Friday through Sunday will see a mix of sun and cloud with daytime highs ranging from 17°C to 18°C.
Temperatures are then expected to climb back up early next week, with both Monday and Tuesday currently forecast to reach 23°C once again.

The sudden shift comes after a fairly unsettled spring across Vancouver Island that brought periods of rain, cooler temperatures and cloudy conditions through much of April and May.
While Victoria is no stranger to mild weather, consistent sunshine and temperatures into the low 20s can still feel like a major seasonal turning point for many.
The warmer conditions are also arriving just in time for people looking to spend more time outdoors as the region heads toward June. Golf courses, hiking trails, waterfront walkways and local beaches are all expected to see an increase in visitors if the forecast holds.
Evenings should remain fairly comfortable as well, with overnight lows hovering between 9°C and 12°C over the coming days.
Environment Canada says UV levels are also expected to remain high during the sunny stretch, meaning sunscreen and water bottles may become essentials again for anyone spending long periods outside.
