The numbers are in, and RONA Foundation’s 2025 Home Sweet Home campaign has raised more than $10,000 across Vancouver Island.

From September 1st to October 12th, RONA stores, as well as participating distribution centres and dealing stores, invited customers to donate in store and online.

These donations were collected to help revitalize living spaces for Canadians in need.

This year, the campaign supported nearly 150 organizations across Canada, specifically ones assisting victims of domestic violence, low-income families, and people with disabilities or mental health issues.

All RONA locations took part, including five on Vancouver Island: two in Nanaimo, one in Cobble Hill, and two in Victoria.

Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island, Habitat for Humanity Victoria, and Umbrella Society for Addictions and Mental Health were the three Vancouver Island charities selected to share the money.

Victoria RONA stores alone raised over $7,000 alone, while across Canada, they received over $530,000.

“We would like to sincerely thank our employees and customers for their generosity and commitment,” said Josée Lafitte, Director of the RONA Foundation.

“Thanks to their mobilization and spirit of solidarity, we are able to support hundreds of vulnerable families and individuals by helping to revitalize their living environments or facilitate access to housing.”

The success of this campaign proves that when communities unite, real change can happen.
