West Shore RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects following a series of thefts from vehicles in View Royal over the weekend.
Police said numerous vehicles were targeted overnight between Saturday, September 5th and the early morning hours of Sunday, September 6th.
The reported thefts occurred in a residential area, with vehicles parked along De Goutiere Place, Chilco Road and Kaleigh Lane among those targeted.
After canvassing the neighbourhood, investigators identified two male suspects believed to be connected to the incidents.
The first suspect is described as having dark facial stubble or a moustache. Police said he was wearing a black hooded sweater or jacket with a small white logo on the left side of the chest, black pants and black shoes with light-coloured laces.
The second suspect is described as a fair-complexioned man standing approximately 5’8″ to 5’10” tall with some facial stubble.
He was wearing a baseball cap and a light-coloured sweater featuring the word “Reebok” beneath a triangle. He was also carrying a dark backpack with distinctive white lines around the zippers.
RCMP have released an image of the second suspect reaching toward the door of a vehicle. No photo of the first suspect was available.
Police are reminding residents to remove valuables from their vehicles, ensure all doors and windows are locked, and park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
