Good evening, Victoria! Wildfire smoke is once again returning over Vancouver Island, bringing hazy skies to parts of the region. The conditions have also prompted The Butchart Gardens to cancel its fireworks show planned for this Saturday, though the evening’s live music will still go ahead.
There’s some good news at Thetis Lake, however! The park’s iconic entrance sign is getting a much-needed makeover. After plenty of public feedback, the CRD has decided to refurbish the beloved log rather than replace it.
