The weekend approaches!

Summer in Victoria is always exciting, and as the weekend approaches, make sure to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and good vibes going on in the city.

This Thursday, you can walk your dog in support of wolf conservation downtown, enjoy outdoor music and markets, head to women’s night at Ærth Saunas or go to a Foo Fighters/Chris Cornell tribute show at The Coda.

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Thursday, August 13th:

Dog Walk for Wolves at Beacon Hill Park

Dog Walk for Wolves is a dog walk with a purpose.

Join Pacific Wild and show your support for the conservation of BC wolves.

On International Wolf Day, go on a dog walk with a purpose—learn more about the importance of BC wolves and the threats they face.

Hosted by Pacific Wild, this free, family-friendly event explores the existing link between dogs and their closest living relatives.

The walk will meet at the Cameron Bandshell in Beacon Hill Park with your pup (or just yourself) for pre-walk activities such as a wolf howl competition with a fun prize for the winner, a photo booth for you and your furry friends, a sign making station to show your support for the conservation of BC wolves and an information booth where you can learn more about the BC wolf cull.

Walk together from Beacon Hill Park to the legislative fountain for a group photo, including a quick stop at the Victoria Centennial Fountain to visit the bronze wolf statue.
