A GoFundMe online fundraiser has been launched to help a paramedic and his family heal following a serious skydiving accident.

Brenner Davis, a 38-year-old father of two and paramedic reportedly suffered injuries during a skydiving accident recently and cannot work for the time being, leaving his family with financial gaps.

The online fundraiser was made in order to support Brenner and his wife Victoria as they take on medical expenses, rehabilitation and the basic costs of daily life.

“One of our own—a paramedic known for showing up when it matters most—was recently injured in a tragic skydiving accident,” said Jan Davis, creator of the GoFundMe.

“Now, instead of helping others, they’re facing a long, painful recovery.”

Brenner is well known in the Lake Cowichan community and works as a paramedic out of station 119 Lake Cowichan.

As of this publication, the fundraiser has garnered just over $6,000. Its goal is to raise $24,000 for the Davis family.
