For the second time in franchise history, the Victoria Royals have clinched the BC Division title, defeating the Prince George Cougars 6–3 on Friday night.
The victory not only crowns them division champions but also secures the second seed in the 2025 WHL Playoffs, granting them home-ice advantage in the opening round.
Forward Teydon Trembecky delivered a standout performance, recording two goals and two assists to propel the Royals to victory.
This win elevates Victoria’s record to 40-17-3-7, amassing 90 points through 67 games, and solidifying their position in the Western Conference standings.
This division title is the Royals’ first since the 2015–16 season and their second since relocating to Victoria in the 2011–12 season.
The team’s consistent performance throughout the season has been instrumental in achieving this milestone.
The Royals are set to host Games 1 and 2 of the opening playoff round at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, March 28th, with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop, followed by Game 2 on Saturday, March 29, that 6:05 p.m.
