According to the Almanac, this winter will be colder than average, with the coldest periods expected in early December and early to mid-January.

The Almanac, which has been in continuous publication since 1792 and its Canadian edition since 1982, forecasts snowfall to be below average, with the snowiest periods likely occurring in late November, early December, early January, and March.
