Have you got a furry friend who is just itching for some fun? We’ve got some good news!
Canada’s largest pet festival, Day of the Dogs, is coming to Victoria this August!
On Sunday, August 16th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dallas Road will host Day of the Dogs, a festival designed to celebrate all things canine.
The festival is intended as a fundraiser for the Just Love Animals Society, with an emphasis on fun.
The event is going to be a riot, with lively events and exhibitors from across North America showing up for a doggone great time.
Highlights include a costume contest, an 80-foot pool party with a DJ and canine cabanas, a snaggletooth showcase, free or by donation nail clippings, a 100-foot art installation, a dogue fashion show and so much more.
There will also be several races taking place, with divisions specifically for wiener dogs, french bulldogs, corgis and doodles, as well as an open division for dogs of any breed.
Puppy yoga, where adoptable puppies will be causing mayhem, will also be taking place throughout the day, with 30-minute sessions from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. What better way to make a soul connection with your next ‘fur’-ever friend than through yoga?
These yoga sessions do require tickets and are expected to sell out quickly, so make sure you get yours soon by clicking here.
If you’ve got a furry friend, head down to Dallas Road this August and take part in a ‘paws’-itively awesome time!
