BC Amber Alert issued after 4-year-old allegedly abducted in West Kelowna

A BC Amber Alert was activated overnight after a four-year-old boy was allegedly abducted in West Kelowna.

Many Vancouver Island residents received the emergency alert on their phones just after midnight Wednesday.

According to the West Kelowna RCMP, officers received a report of a parental abduction on Tuesday, July 21st.

Following an investigation, police activated a province-wide BC Amber Alert in an effort to locate Ryan Atlas Andrews, who goes by the name Atlas.

Atlas is described as a four-year-old Caucasian boy with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is approximately 3’ tall and weighs about 51 pounds.

Police are also searching for 40-year-old Alisse Andrews, who is described as Caucasian with brown hair and brown eyes.

She is approximately 5’ 4” tall and weighs about 121 pounds.

Investigators believe they may be travelling in a black 2021 Nissan Qashqai with BC licence plate RV003L.

Anyone who has seen Atlas, Alisse Andrews or the vehicle is asked to call 911 immediately. Police are asking the public not to approach them and instead report any sightings to emergency services.

The RCMP says further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.

No updates have been provided since the Amber Alert was issued.
