There are over 44,000 cruise ship passengers expected to dock in Victoria this week

Downtown Victoria is in for an energetic week with an expected 16 cruise ships—totalling 44,005 passengers!

The rest of us might be having a sleepy Monday, but the cruise terminals are not! This Monday, on August 19th, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority (GVHA) is welcoming three ships.

Queen Elizabeth kicked us off, arriving at 1 p.m. with 2,081 passengers, followed closely by the Crown Princess at 2 p.m. with 3,080 passengers. Lastly, we have the Carnival Spirit at 8 p.m. with 2,124 people on board.

Tuesday, August 20th brings another three ships: Seven Seas Explorer at 8 a.m. with 754 passengers, Crystal Serenity at 2 p.m. with 1,080, and then Norwegian Sun with 1,936 passengers.

The cruise ships to follow are as such:

  • Wednesday, August 21st at 8 p.m.: Carnival Luminosa with 2,260 passengers
  • Thursday, August 22nd at 8 a.m.: Ovation of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
  • Thursday, August 22nd at 5 p.m.: Celebrity Edge with 2,918 passengers
  • Friday, August 23rd at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Bliss with 4,250 passengers
  • Friday, August 23rd at 8 p.m.: Eurodam with 2,104 passengers
  • Friday, August 23rd at 9 p.m.: Discovery Princess with 3,660 passengers
  • Saturday, August 24th at 7 p.m.: Majestic Princess with 3,560 passengers
  • Saturday, August 24th at 7:30 p.m.: Norwegian Encore with 3,998 passengers
  • Saturday, August 24th at 8 p.m.: Westerdam with 1,840 passengers
  • Sunday, August 25th at 5 p.m.: Quantum of the Seas with 4,180 passengers
