Following a massive response to last weekend’s local election coverage, the Victoria Buzz Election Portal will return Saturday night for the 2026 BC provincial election.
Nearly 50,000 people visited the live results page during the local elections, following races across Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island as the numbers came in.
This weekend’s coverage will look a little different.
Instead of tracking dozens of municipal, council and school trustee races, our local coverage will focus on Greater Victoria’s eight provincial ridings:
- Esquimalt–Colwood
- Juan de Fuca–Malahat
- Langford–Highlands
- Oak Bay–Gordon Head
- Saanich North and the Islands
- Saanich South
- Victoria–Beacon Hill
- Victoria–Swan Lake
The portal will place those eight local races front and centre while also providing results from all 93 ridings across BC.
Readers will be able to follow the provincewide race for 47 seats to form a majority government, see how many ridings each party has won or is leading in, watch the closest races and search for individual ridings or candidates.
The Victoria Buzz News Desk will also provide verified updates, breaking developments and important context throughout the evening.
Polls are open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Pacific on Saturday, October 24th. Preliminary results are expected to begin arriving shortly after polls close.
The election portal will update automatically as new Elections BC results become available, so readers will not need to repeatedly refresh the page. Elections BC has indicated its result files will be updated approximately every three minutes during the count.
Whether you are watching one of Greater Victoria’s closest contests or the overall battle to form BC’s next government, Victoria Buzz will have the local races, provincial standings and election-night developments together in one place.
Follow the 2026 BC provincial election results on the Victoria Buzz Election Portal.
