Cruise ships expected to bring over 43K passengers to Victoria this week

Victoria’s waterfront is in for a busy finish to July, with 15 cruise ships scheduled to arrive at Ogden Point between Monday, July 27th and Sunday, August 2nd.

According to the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s (GVHA) current cruise schedule, the vessels carry a combined estimated 43,414 passengers.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday will each see three ships arrive, but Saturday is expected to be the busiest by passenger volume. The three vessels arriving that evening can carry an estimated 10,216 passengers combined.

Friday follows closely with an estimated 9,914 passengers, while Sunday’s three arrivals account for another 8,709.

There are no cruise ship arrivals scheduled for Tuesday.

• Riviera: 12:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., estimated 1,328 passengers
• Carnival Spirit: 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 2,124 passengers

Wednesday, July 29th

• Queen Elizabeth: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., estimated 2,081 passengers
• Carnival Miracle: 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 2,124 passengers

Thursday, July 30th

• Voyager of the Seas: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., estimated 4,000 passengers
• Celebrity Edge: 5:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 2,918 passengers

Friday, July 31st

• Norwegian Bliss: 7:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 4,250 passengers
• Eurodam: 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 2,104 passengers
• Royal Princess: 8:15 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 3,560 passengers

Saturday, August 1st

• Star Princess: 7 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 4,300 passengers
• Norwegian Encore: 7:45 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 3,998 passengers
• Noordam: 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 1,918 passengers

Sunday, August 2nd 

• Azamara Pursuit: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., estimated 777 passengers
• Anthem of the Seas: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., estimated 4,919 passengers
• MSC Poesia: 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., estimated 3,013 passengers

All but Azamara Pursuit are scheduled to continue to Seattle after leaving Victoria. Azamara Pursuit will sail to Vancouver following its 15-hour visit.

One of this week’s newest arrivals will be Star Princess, which began sailing in October 2025.

The Sphere-class ship has room for 4,300 guests, 21 decks, 2,157 cabins and is among the largest vessels scheduled to visit Victoria this season. 

Sunday’s Anthem of the Seas carries the largest passenger estimate of the week at 4,919.

The 1,139 foot Royal Caribbean vessel features the North Star observation capsule, which rises roughly 300 feet above sea level, along with bumper cars, a skydiving simulator and the Bionic Bar, where drinks are mixed by robotic bartenders.

As of this publication, 190 cruise ships have visited Victoria between April 10th and the end of Monday, July 27. The passenger estimates listed for those calls total approximately 570,900.

At the beginning of the season, GVHA projected that Victoria would receive 335 cruise ship calls and just over 1 million passengers during 2026.
