Happy Monday, Victoria!

After a hectic weekend full of Pride festivities, Phillips Backyard, Victoria Stampede and more, we hope you’re settling into the week smoothly.

The fun doesn’t have to stop this Monday, although the events are a little more relaxed. Take things easy with some of the events in this list we’ve compiled for you!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Monday, July 13th:

The Gorge Farmers Market

The Gorge Farmers Market is finally back!

Happening every Monday until September 21st, the Gorge Farmers market will be setting up shop in Gorge Park.

This year, the market is celebrating its fifth season. Local food, live music, a beautiful view of the Gorge Waterway and over 50 vendors.

Get down to Gorge Park and buy local! The market is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Craigdarroch Castle

In this production, two worlds collide; one of extreme wealth and privilege, and one full of powerful natural magic.

While inspired by environmental and social justice, this production embraces the raucous comedy in this play.

In this action packed, furiously fast and ferociously funny 90-minute version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream we have comedy, romance magic… and puppets!

Tickets are $30, $25 for those aged 25 and under, and free for anyone under 15 or BIPOC community members. You can purchase yours here.

Paws for Pride Pet Parade

Head down to Paws for Pride Pet Parade—where furry friends strut their stuff and celebrate pride together!

Get ready to strut your stuff with your furry friends at the Paws for Pride Pet Parade!

This fun, in-person community event is all about celebrating love, diversity, inclusion and wagging tails.

Participants will meet at the Sooke Library and walk together to John Phillips Memorial Park. Once at the park, enjoy face painting, dog treats, fruit and snacks for their human friends and backyard games.

Don’t miss out on a feel-good day filled with smiles, treats, community spirit and plenty of tail wags!

The parade is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Benji’s Pub Quiz

Head down to the Fernwood Inn forBenji’s famous pub quiz!

Enjoy good laughs, good tunes, average pens and brand new Inky Dinky’s!

Tickets are $14 per person and sold online in tables of four, five, six or eight. They can be purchased here.

Groups of eight or more are asked to email the Fernwood Inn ahead of time with their ticket names so everyone can be seated together.

Teddy Bear Picnic at Captain Jacobson Park

Grab your favourite stuffed animal and picnic blanket and head down to Captain Jacobson Park for some crafts and story time!

This event is put on by Esquimalt Parks and Recreation.

The picnic is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
