This week’s weather forecast brings with it the warmest day of spring so far, followed by a gloomy weekend in Greater Victoria.
According to Environment Canada, Tuesday, June 2nd will get up to a high of 25°C. This is the hottest predicted high of the spring so far this year. There will be 20 km/h westward winds gusting to 60 km/h near the Juan de Fuca Strait. The overnight low is expected to be around 11°C.
Though the week still has some nice days in the forecast, it won’t last forever, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Wednesday will remain warm in Victoria with a high of 23°C, a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day and an overnight low of 12°C.
On Thursday, the clouds are expected to clear, but the high will drop down to around 19°C in Greater Victoria. Overnight conditions will remain clear, with a low of 10°C.
Rain is forecast to return on Friday. There is a 40% chance of showers through the day, with Environment Canada calling for a mix of sun and clouds otherwise. The high is predicted to be around 18°C, while the low will drop down to 9°C. Overnight there is a 60% chance of rain.
The rain is expected to continue through Sunday with a 60% chance of showers in the forecast. The high is only expected to reach 15°C, and overnight, there will be more showers and a low of 8°C.
By Sunday, the rain is expected to cease in Greater Victoria, though Environment Canada is calling for cloudy conditions throughout the day and evening. The high is expected to reach 18°C and the low will dip to 9°C.
On Monday, rain may return with a 30% chance of showers in the forecast and a high of 17°C.
