After a beautiful weekend of sun and temperatures above 20°C, Greater Victoria is in for another beautiful week ahead.
According to Environment Canada, the week will start out a bit cooler than this past weekend.
Monday’s forecast for the capital region calls for a mix of sun and cloud with a predicted high of 15°C. There will be moderate wind in some areas at 20 km/h, but gusting up to 40 km/h. Near the Juan de Fuca Strait the wind will gust up to 70 km/h. The overnight low will drop down to 9°C and there is a 30% chance of showers that will carry over until Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the forecast calls for a 30% chance of showers in the morning and early afternoon, but that should clear by the evening with a mix of sun and cloud in the region for the rest of the day. The daily high is expected to reach 14°C, while the low is predicted to be around 7°C.
According to Wednesday’s forecast, the clouds should clear and the sun will be out in full-force, with a high expected to reach 19°C. Wednesday evening will remain clear with an 8°C overnight low.
After Wednesday, the forecast for Thursday and Friday calls for a high of at least 20°C with a mix of sun and cloud during the day and cloudy periods predicted through the night. The low for both days is predicted to drop down to 7°C.
Saturday’s forecast will heat up even more with a predicted high of 21°C, though conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy.
On Sunday, Environment Canada predicts a high of 22°C with a mix of sun and cloud. The overnight low through the weekend is expected to be around 8°C.
