Victoria residents will get a high-flying treat this summer as the Canadian Forces Snowbirds have officially added the city to their 2026 tour schedule.

The announcement comes as the team celebrates its 55th anniversary, marking more than five decades of aerial performances across Canada.

“We are excited to announce that the Canadian Forces Snowbirds will be performing in Victoria,” the team shared in a Facebook post.

“Bring the family, find a great spot and look up. We cannot wait to see you there.”

The performance is scheduled for August 4th, beginning at 5 p.m. along Dallas Road.

Formed in 1971, the Snowbirds have built a reputation for delivering precision flying displays that draw crowds in communities across the country.

“As ambassadors of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds embody the professionalism, skill and dedication that define CAF members,” reads the team’s official information page.

“Their performances inspire the pursuit of excellence, leaving a lasting impact wherever they fly.”

The Victoria stop comes as a surprise addition. When the Snowbirds released their initial 2026 tour schedule in December, neither Victoria nor the rest of Vancouver Island was included.

At the time, the team said it was “thrilled to share our initial 2026 schedule,” celebrating 55 seasons since the first team took to the skies.

“From major cities to small towns, across Canada, we can’t wait to fly for you, meet you, and celebrate this milestone year together.”

Now, Victorians will have a front-row seat to one of Canada’s most iconic aerial demonstration teams this summer.
