Here’s what Canadians have been ordering on Uber Eats over the past decade

To celebrate a decade since launching in Canada, Uber Eats released a special 10-Year Edition of their annual cravings report, revealing how Canadian food habits have shifted over the past decade.

From most-ordered foods to top tippers and fast-growing categories, this report sheds light on tastes and preferences across the country.

Looking back, in 2015, Canadians were all about fries, burgers, pad Thai, bagels, and tacos. Fast forward to 2025, and burrito bowls, coffee, chicken, bagels, and shawarma became the go-to choices.

When it comes to sides, fries, hashbrowns, and spring rolls were the top picks in 2015, while in 2025, Canadians opted for dippers, with garlic dip, sauce, gravy, and fries being the top three.

As for cuisines, Asian, Indian, Chinese, Italian, and Japanese were fan favourites in 2015, and they continued to hold their ground in 2025, though American and Canadian cuisines overtook American and Chinese in popularity.

In its 10 years of service, Uber Eats has completed an impressive one billion trips in Canada—a milestone reached earlier this month!

Other highlights from the report include the top cities for tipping, with Calgary, Edmonton, and Montreal leading the pack.

The report also revealed the most surprising and fastest-growing categories, which were clothing and accessories, flower and plants, and cannabis.

BC made its mark too, with Vancouver ranking as the third city with the most expensive Uber Eats orders over the past decade.

Back in November 2024, Victoria was named Canada’s most generous city when it comes to tipping, according to a Uber Eats Cravings Report.

As Uber Eats celebrates its 10th anniversary in Canada, one thing remains clear: Canadians still love having their cravings delivered. And as food delivery continues to evolve, we’re excited to see what the next decade will bring!
