Victoria’s creative scene is shining this Wednesday!
From welcoming community craft sessions and a queer open stage to jazz performances and stand-up comedy, there’s something for every mood and interest.
Without further ado, here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Wednesday January 21st:
Craft Social Drop-In
Get your craft on, Victoria!
Unleash your creativity while sipping on tea or coffee, and meeting other crafty folks in your community.
Some supplies are provided, but attendees are welcomed to bring their own projects and supplies.
No registration required—drop in is by donation.

Queer Open Stage
Do you need a safe space to showcase your talent, find community, and network with other queer artists? Then bring your performance to the Queer Open Stage at the Dock!
Whether it’s music, drag, poetry, dance, comedy, or magic, if you can do it in 10 minutes or less, this is the place to do it!
This is a free event. However, cash donations will be collected for the Lekwungen Community Toolshed.

Louise Rose | Alone Together
Louise Rose is taking the stage at Hermann’s Jazz Club!
Rose is a sought-after vocal jazz ensemble clinician who has played and sung with symphony orchestras in Canada and the United States. She has appeared in nightclubs, operas, theatrical productions, touring shows, and on cruise ships all over the world.

Comedy Night at The Fernwood Inn
Don’t miss a hilarious night at The Fernwood Inn!
Watch some of Victoria’s funniest stand-up comics and improvisers take the stage while enjoying a full food and drink menu.
Headlining Wednesday’s show is Carilynn Nicholson, a local comedic veteran who’s been making Victorians laugh for 15 years!

Phillips Comedy Night at The Mint
The funniest way to spend a Wednesday is Phillips Comedy Night at The Mint!
Each week Morgan Cranny and Drew Farrance bring the most hilarious comedians in the city together for a wonderful evening of food, drink and fun.
Come downstairs afterwards and enjoy the delicious west coast Himalayan cuisine that the Mint is famous for.
