The Township of Esquimalt has issued a warning to residents that a water main has broken on Tillicum Road.
Specifically, the main break is impacting the area of 1070 Tillicum Road, near the entrance to Gorge Park.
“Significant traffic delays are expected in the area due to single lane alternating traffic,” said an Esquimalt spokesperson in a media release.
“Use alternate routes where possible.”
The Township added that City of Victoria crews are en route to aid the situation, and will remain on site until repairs are complete.
As of this publication, the situation is still evolving, so the Township doesn’t have an estimated end time until crews get a better sense of the work that is needed to mend the water main.
