If you’re looking for excuses to either move to Victoria or stay here, then this is for you!
Global Citizen Solutions—a migration consultancy firm that aids people in finding residency or citizenship—has released their Global Digital Nomad report, which has found Canada to be within top places to live and work.
To further break down their findings, they’ve provided the top 15 best places to live within Canada. This is based on infrastructure, education, healthcare, employment, retirement, raising a family, among others.
Victoria is among the highlighted cities, ranking at 6th for its abundant career opportunities in technology, hospitality, healthcare, tourism, and transportation.
The average salary amongst these positions is $54,007 per year, and the average home price is listed as $961,000.
In addition to these underlined career paths, Victoria and the island’s surrounding nature is also said to be a huge draw for young adults.
The report mentions Spiral Beach, Clover Point, Ross Bay Beach and Cordova Bay Beach as popular spots for lounging and swimming.
They’ve noted the high cost of living as one of the bigger drawbacks, stating that the average cost per person is $1,542 a month—not including rent.
Claiming the first overall spot on this list is Calgary, Alberta for its income, affordability, opportunities for career growth, and high quality of life.
