Let’s dive into another week of summer, and another week of cruise ships, Victoria!
We’re expecting busy days at Ogden Point and throughout the downtown core, as we’ll see 13 cruise ships between Monday, July 7th and Sunday, July 13th.
This will total 39,222 passengers and eager visitors weaving their way through our wonderful city’s streets and contributing to our economy.
Starting the week off strong, Monday will see two of this week’s ships, with the Riviera up first, arriving at 11 a.m. with 1,328 people.
A few hours later, the Carnival Spirit will dock at 8 p.m. with 2,124 people.
The Riviera is known as the small, but luxurious ship with Oceania Cruises, and has been elegantly crafted and tailored to culinary and travel connoisseurs.
Despite its size, it doesn’t lack in dining experiences as Riviera offers multiple venues—six of which are open-seating gourmet restaurants with no surcharge.
According to their website, La Reserve by Wine Spectator creates some of the most memorable and exclusive food, wine and Champagne experiences.
It was built in 2012, resting at 784.9 feet long and a tonnage of 66,084.
Tuesday allows a slight break before we receive two more ships on Wednesday, July 9th: the Queen Elizabeth at 1 p.m. with 2,081 passengers and the Carnival Luminosa with 2,260 passengers at 8 p.m.
