RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to be behind a residential break-in in Sidney last week.
On Monday, May 26th, around 12:30 p.m., police responded to a home in the 10,000-block of Patricia Place after reports of a break and enter.
According to RCMP, a male suspect was caught on video surveillance entering the property earlier that afternoon.
Cash and jewellery were reported stolen.
Officers from the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section investigated the scene and reviewed the footage to help identify the suspect.
He is described as a Caucasian man, between 25 and 30 years old, with short brown hair and a beard.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white t-shirt with a logo on the back, painter’s pants with paint marks, white and black shoes, and a tan ballcap. He was also carrying a dark-coloured backpack.
