West Shore RCMP are turning to the public for help identifying a man connected to a credit card fraud investigation that began late last year.

The fraud happened back in December 2024, when a victim’s credit card information was stolen over the phone. Police say the caller pretended to be from the victim’s bank and was able to gain access to their financial information.

The man pictured in a surveillance photo is believed to have used the stolen credit card details to buy thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

According to police, the suspect appears to be in his 20s with a medium complexion, a thin mustache and goatee, and two diamond stud earrings in his right ear.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black baseball cap with three white stars on the front, a black vest over a hoodie, and black track pants with two white stripes down the legs.

Investigators say they’ve followed up on several leads but have not yet been able to identify the suspect.

If you recognize the man or have any information that could help, contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264. Tips can also be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting their website.
