Stream Kelly Coulter’s New Menopause Podcast

Victoria-based podcaster Kelly Coulter has just launched her new series, Meant to Pause: The Menopause Series!

In this series, Coulter deep dives into society’s attitude towards menopause, and explores the topic as a whole to decrease stigma, raise awareness, highlight existing fears and more.

This release is a part of the first-ever premiere of TELUS STORYHIVE’s Video Podcast program.

Che Durena at Capital Ballroom

Don’t miss Che Durena, a seasoned standup comic, as he performs at Capital Ballroom this Friday.

He’s best known for his viral videos and impressive social media presence, and has performed at the world’s largest comedy festival three times, headlined sold-out theatre shows and he’s been featured on national networks.

Tickets are $47 for general admission.

Celebrating Diverse Youth and Community Impact

Join the Coastal Research, Education, and Advocacy Network (CREAN) and partners for a free block party honouring the achievements of youth of African descent in Victoria!

There will be live music, free food for the first 100 attendees and interactive displays. Plus, keynote speakers such as community leaders, practitioners, policymakers, and youth advocates.

This event is free to attend, but you can grab your ticket here.

National Poetry Month Event

Hosted at Russell Books, Ian Higgins with The Malahat Review presents a special National Poetry Month event featuring powerful local poets.

Poets include Neil Surkan, Natalie Lim, Catherine St. Denis and Eli Mushumanski—all of which have made profound impacts with their work.

Holy gravy, Victoria—it’s almost National Poutine Day!

This Friday, treat yourself to one of the most beloved, cheesy comfort foods to ever grace the planet.

Whether you’re into the classic trio—fries, gravy, and cheese curds—or a unique concoction whipped up by a local chef at a Victoria restaurant, there’s no wrong way to poutine.

While its exact origin story is unknown, we do know this iconic dish was born in Quebec in the 1950s.
