Filipino Weekend Market

Join the Bayanihan Community Center at Centennial Square this weekend as they host a Filipino Weekend Market!

It will be a weekend dedicated to the richness of Filipino culture, with traditional dishes and unique finds at various vendors.

It’s free entry, so gather your group of best pals or bring the whole family!

Easter Egg Hunt at Westshore Town Centre

Gather your family and friends and take part in an exciting Easter Egg Hunt for a chance to win over $1500 in prizes from Westshore Town Centre (WTC) retailers.

The hunt kicks off on April 1st and runs through April 21st, so get those baskets ready and get to hunting!

All you have to do is pick up an Easter Egg Hunt worksheet from Chopped Leaf, Coles, Western Coast Insurance, or download it from the WTC website.

Then you’re set to explore WTC and search for the vinyl eggs displayed on the exterior of various store windows.

Europa Super Circus

Saanich Fairgrounds is hosting an unforgettable modern twist on a classic circus!

From Friday, April 4th to Sunday, April 13th, the award-winning Europa Super Circus is set to dazzle with thrilling performances and whimsical delights.

This is their first time in Canada, so don’t miss out!

Ticket prices vary by package selection, but general admission is $35.

60th Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition

The Royal BC Museum is once again rolling out the red carpet for one of the world’s most celebrated photography exhibitions: Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

The exhibit kicked off on February 14th and runs until April 27th, showcasing over 100 breathtaking new images—each one a testament to the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world.

Highlighted among the collection includes “The Swarm of Life” by Vancouver Island’s own Shane Gross, this year’s Adult Grand Title Winner.

Phantom of the Opera: 100th Anniversary

In honour of Phantom of the Opera‘s 100th anniversary, Vic Theatre is hosting a special screening.

While the silent film is playing, band Invincible Czars will be scoring the movie with live music!

For those unfamiliar, The Phantom of the Opera is a moving tale about the Phantom who haunts an opera house while trying to make the woman he loves a star.

Tickets are $23.80 and can be purchased online.

Mayfair Flair Fashion Show

Kicking off at 2 p.m., the Mayfair Flair Fashion Show promises an afternoon of style, entertainment, and community, showcasing the latest spring trends from top retailers.

Fashion enthusiasts will get an exclusive look at the must-have styles of the season, with models strutting the runway in curated outfits that reflect the freshest trends.

Adding to the excitement, live dance performances by WD Studios will bring high-energy moments to the show, making it an event not to be missed.

Saturday nights are the biggest night of the week down at The Duke Saloon!

Faerie & Fantasy Faire

If you’re looking for a world of enchantment and imagination, head to the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney and attend the Faerie & Fantasy Faire!

This inaugural event is hosted by 4 Wands Faerie Events Inc., and is your portal to the Faerie Realm.

The theme this year is wings and whimsy, so dress to impress and show off your best faerie and magical creature outfits. There will also be live performances, a goblin market, mermaid photo-ops, a kids’ zone and more.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, and children 12-years-old and younger get in for free.

Bendy and Lito Ford at Lucky Bar

RealEyes is here to present Bendy and Lito Ford at Lucky Bar this Saturday!

Both Bendy and Lito have a deep understanding of house music and its roots in disco, and are diehard analogue, all vinyl DJs.

Tickets are $20 and doors open at 10 p.m.

Ukrainian Easter Traditions Market & Hot Lunch

The Ukrainian Cultural Centre welcomes everyone to their Easter Traditions Market & Hot Lunch event this Sunday!

Here, you can buy Ukrainian food, souvenirs, clothing, Easter eggs and enjoy freshly made perogies and cabbage rolls.

The perogy lunch is $14 and served between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and there’s an optional Pysanka class for $35, which runs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Victoria Royals Playoff Watch Party

Another Victoria Royals Playoff Watch Party is at the Six Mile Pub and Eatery this Sunday!

Vets for Pets Fundraiser at Peninsula Veterinary Hospital

The newly opened Peninsula Veterinary Hospital in Saanich is opening its doors for an open house and fundraising event this Sunday!

There will be games, gift bags for the first 50 people, and a BBQ with hotdogs (regular and vegetarian options), drinks and snacks by donation. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Vets for Pets Victoria charity.

Vets for Pets Victoria is a local registered non-profit group that offers free veterinary care to the pets of low-income, unhoused, and vulnerably-housed individuals in the Victoria area.
