An Evening with Bruce Cockburn
Don’t miss out on a special evening with musical legend Bruce Cockburn, hosted at the Royal Theatre.
As described, his journey has taken him across genres, embracing folk, jazz, rock, and worldbeat styles from traveling.
Ticket prices vary by seat selection, but they’re starting at $57.25.

Trivia at Hecklers Bar and Grill
Don’t miss out on Sixty Watt Trivia at Hecklers Bar and Grill!
Bring your team and get ready to crank out some wild facts, play along to win prizes, and treat yourself to some of their delicious food and beverages.
Trivia starts at 7 p.m. but make sure to come early—especially if you have a larger table, otherwise you’ll have to come back next week!
No fee to play and they allow teams of up to 8 people.

Take Part in ‘Grocers Go Beyond’ Campaign
In case you forgot, the Grocers Go Beyond Campaign is still on—having kicked off on Friday, February 28th and running until Thursday, March 20th!
This campaign includes a variety of Vancouver Island’s grocery stores, who are once again coming together to raise money for cancer patients.
Participating grocery stores in the campaign include Red Barn Market, Country Grocer, Thrifty Foods, Fairway Market, and Tru Value Foods.
All of the above will be collaborating on a special fundraising campaign to support the BC Cancer Foundation, with all proceeds going toward the development of the new BC Cancer centre in Nanaimo.

The Climate Play
Head over to the Belfry Theatre for The Climate Play, co-written & co-directed by Joel Bernbaum & Yvette Nolan.
As described, for the past two years, Bernbaum and Nolan have been working with theatres in cities across the country on this verbatim theatre project about climate change.
Last March in Victoria, Joel led a workshop on verbatim theatre with theatre artists and interested citizens. They were tasked with conducting interviews with people in our city asking them their thoughts on the climate crisis.
They’ve chosen five participants from last year’s workshop to work with, and have arranged the transcribed interviews into a play with music!
This is a free event, but seats are limited, so snag your spot here.

Take a Cherry Blossom Stroll
As the weather continues to warm up, Victoria’s beloved collection of cherry blossom and plum blossom trees are reaching their full peak.
Already we’ve seen some early washes of floral colour from our early bloomers and the vibrancy will only continue to grow as we dive deeper into spring.
If you’re looking to find your own special spot, the City of Victoria features an interactive map that lists all of the trees and their blossom dates.
For now, we’ve chosen some of our favourite spots around town to see the blooms.
