A Sooke couple has gone viral after discovering an unexpected stash of 115 stuffed animals crammed inside the walls of their new home.
The unusual find, captured in a TikTok video, has sparked widespread fascination and fond memories for viewers worldwide.
When Connor Nijsse and Brianne Hinkkuri pulled back pieces of drywall in the garage of their house, they expected to see standard insulation material.
Instead, they found bags filled with stuffed animals, tightly packed into the wall.

Nijsse, a weapons technician in the navy who also works as a woodworker, shared the bizarre moment on his TikTok page, Connor’s Custom Woodwork (c.c. woodwork), and the post quickly took off.
Within days, it had garnered over five million views.
While theories and speculation abound, the general consensus is that the stuffed animals were used as insulation.
The collection appears to include toys from the ‘80s and ‘90s, adding to the nostalgia factor for viewers, who have been reaching out to adopt some of the stuffed toys.
Thanks to the couple’s video, many of the toys have already found new homes around the world. A pink elephant is en route to Las Vegas, a brown bear to Indiana, a pair of yellow ducks to the UK., and a plaid monkey with bright blue eyes to South Carolina.

However, not all of the critters are leaving; a large brown bear that caught Nijsse’s eye will stay with the couple, while some of the stuffed animals are being returned to their original resting place—the garage wall.
The video continues to gain traction, with viewers sharing their own childhood memories of similar toys.
