Get into the holiday spirit by visiting the Festival of Trees at The Bay Centre and hitting up the Yuletide Market at Bilston Creek Farm in Metchosin.

If you’re in the mood for laughs, head to Anna Akana’s return to the stage at Capital Ballroom for a night of comedy!

Daniel Wesley at The Mint

Join Daniel Wesley in living life to the fullest as he performs at The Mint, playing music that speaks to human experience using his signature reggae-tinged beach music.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.

This is a 19+ only show, so bring two pieces of I.D.!

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees has been a beloved holiday tradition on Vancouver Island for over 30 years, celebrating community support for BC Children’s Hospital with beautifully decorated trees.

This year’s event will feature up to 100 sponsored trees, and they’ll remain on display from November 15th to January 5th.

The Bay Centre invites the community to enjoy the display, vote for their favorite trees, and help raise vital funds for BC’s children!

  • When: Friday, November 15th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (and runs until January 5th)

Anna Akana at Capital Ballroom

Head downtown for a special welcome-back performance from Anna Akana at Capital Ballroom!

After a stalking incident forced Akana into retirement for six years, she’s back and armed with a restraining order and a plethora of new stories to tell.

As described, she’s a comedian, actress and writer. As an actress, she can be seen in Marvel’s Ant-Man, Comedy Central’s Corporate, Netflix’s Jupiter’s Legacy and the Emmy-nominated Youtube RED series she executive produced and starred in, and more.

Ticket prices vary by package—general admission costs $45 and VIP meet & greet tickets are $84.75.

Dinner & Drag

Friends of Dorothy is excited to host another Dinner & Drag happening this Friday!

It features a delicious three-course meal and fabulous local drag performers, hosted by the fabulous Queen Mina Mercury, for the ultimate dining experience.

Yuletide Market at Bilston Creek Farm

Bilston Creek Farm’s beloved Yuletide Market series is returning for another year!

Featuring over 90 local businesses showcasing their beautiful products across seven different holiday markets, their 2024 Yuletide Market is not one to miss.

Designed as a retail pop-up store, the markets have a rotating list of vendors, ensuring you will find something new and unique each weekend. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and shop local leading into the Christmas and holiday season.

This market weekend will run from Friday, November 15th to Sunday, November 17th. Entry is $5 per person.
