A significant portion of Sooke is without power following a single-vehicle crash on Thursday.
According to BC Hydro, 6,051 customers are affected in the Sooke region, and there is currently no estimated time for restoration.

Despite the crash, traffic is moving in both directions, albeit slowly, with emergency crews on scene.
The cause of the crash at Church Road and Sooke Road (Highway 14) remains unknown. One individual was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The local school district has confirmed that all schools in Sooke will remain open this morning. While buses are running, traffic delays are expected.
