Sooke residents might soon have a new recreational option to look forward to, as discussions are underway for a new bowling alley in the area.
The proposed venue, slated to be located at 6727 West Coast Road, is currently navigating the process of applying for a rezoning permit—the property currently consists of a home.
If approved, the bowling alley will bring a fresh entertainment option to the community.
According to a spokesperson for the project, the bowling alley will feature 12 to 16 lanes, a bar, and a Mediterranean restaurant, promising a blend of leisure and dining experiences.
This new development aims to provide a family-friendly environment and a unique social spot in the Sooke area.
To inform the public and address any questions, a community information meeting will be held on Sunday, August 18th. The session will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 2365 Church Road in Sooke. This meeting will offer local residents a chance to learn more about the project and voice their opinions.
Currently, Greater Victoria is home to three main bowling alleys: Langford Lanes, Miracle Lanes in Sidney, and a bowling alley within the Canadian Brewhouse Pub at Uptown.
As the proposal moves forward, community members are encouraged to participate in the upcoming meeting to stay informed and engaged with the development process.
