Strath Laughs

Heads up, comedy lovers—a new comedy hotspot is in town!

Paul McKinnon with Amps 2-11 Productions has announced the addition of a new monthly comedy event held in the Maple Room, above the Sticky Wicket in the Strathcona Hotel.

Cleverly titled “Strath Laughs,” this bundle of joy will host its inaugural event on Friday, May 24th with a series of emerging-to-experienced comedians.

Tickets are $15 can be purchased here or for $20 at the door!

Art Opening Reception: Roberta Pyx Sutherland

Join artist Roberta Pyx Sutherland at the opening reception for her new the exhibition, More Blessed Than We Know, running from May 24th to June 8th.

As described, Sutherland uses a variety of media and methods to create her atmospheric works. The mixed-media paintings centre on the image of a bowl or vessel which symbolizes nourishment on many levels.

Drew Lynch: Short King Tour

Comedian and actor Drew Lynch captured the hearts of America with his Golden Buzzer performance on Season 10 of America’s Got Talent (NBC), where he finished in second place.

Since then, Drew has amassed millions of followers on social media while touring the world nonstop to sold out audiences.

Tickets start at just under $45 and can be purchased here.

Fridays at the Station

The Victoria Beer Society is once again hosting their popular Fridays at the Station event in Langford!

Ring in the weekend at The Langford Station by enjoying live music, a selection of delicious food trucks, browsing local businesses and artist studios, and of course flights of delicious BC craft beer.

The Victoria Beer Society’s Beer Truck will be on site serving cold sleeves and flights of craft beer every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This Friday will feature live music from Black Angus!

Houseworkx at Lucky Bar

Lucky Bar is thrilled to present Houseworkx—a night of house music fun with DJ Pants from Seattle and 4 of your local favourites!

They’ll also be celebrating Fundipz’s (Charles’ birthday).
