Another Vancouver Island resident just won $1-million playing Lotto 6/49

Vancouver Islanders have been striking it big lately!

The Comox Valley is the latest community abuzz with excitement after a winning Lotto 6/49 was purchased in the area.

The draw, held on Saturday, June 17th, saw someone win the guaranteed $1 million prize.

The winning ticket, purchased in Courtenay, has earned the esteemed “white jackpot” prize, instantly transforming its owner into a millionaire!

The winning number sequence, 04589465-01, proved to be a fortuitous combination for the fortunate islander.

While the “gold jackpot” and the grand prize for matching all six numbers eluded hopefuls, the Comox Valley winner is in for a big surprise when they check their tickets.

Adding to the province’s lottery success, two other tickets from British Columbia claimed the 5/6 + bonus number prize. Lucky residents from Prince George and Vancouver will walk away with an impressive $139,300.30 each.

This latest win comes days after BCLC revealed a Victoria couple had won $35 million playing Lotto Max earlier this month.

There have also been several other big wins on Vancouver Island including a record-breaking amount of $55-million won by a financial advisor living in Sidney.
