12 cruise ship visits scheduled for Victoria this week as season enters final stretch

Victoria is expecting a dozen cruise ship visits this week, with vessels carrying an estimated combined capacity of 36,129 passengers between Monday, September 21st to Sunday, September 27th. 

There are no cruise ship arrivals scheduled for Monday. Carnival Spirit starts the week’s visits on Tuesday, followed by Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth on Wednesday. 

Traffic picks up toward the weekend, with three ships scheduled for both Friday and Saturday. Saturday is the busiest day, with an estimated 9,296 passenger spaces across its three ships.

As of September 20th,  305 cruise ships have made a stop in Victoria since early April. Those ships had a combined estimated passenger capacity of 925,659. 

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s current schedule shows 29 more ship calls from this week through the scheduled final arrival on October 18th. Twelve are expected this week, leaving 17 after Sunday.

• Celebrity Summit: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., estimated 2,218 passengers
• Voyager of the Seas: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., estimated 4,000 passengers

Friday, September 25th

• Carnival Miracle: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., estimated 2,124 passengers
• Norwegian Bliss: 7:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 4,250 passengers
• Eurodam: 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 2,104 passengers

Saturday, September 26th

• Celebrity Summit: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., estimated 2,218 passengers
• Emerald Princess: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., estimated 3,080 passengers
• Norwegian Encore: 7:45 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., estimated 3,998 passengers
