For many, the perfect weekend morning activity includes browsing the shelves for a new book, a new adventure, with a cup of coffee in hand.
Now, a newly announced bookstore and coffee shop partnership can make this a reality.
Indigo has announced a brand new partnership with Good Earth Cafes, bringing their coffeehouse experience to select bookstore locations across the country.
Canada’s leading book and lifestyle retailer says the partnership marks the reimagining of its available cafe spaces, with a focus on each individual store’s needs and supporting local businesses.
“We’re excited to partner with Good Earth Coffeehouse to bring their elevated experience to our customers,” said Peter Ruis, President, Indigo.
“With aligned core values of quality, a commitment to sustainable practices, and bringing people together, it could not be a more natural fit. Good Earth prides itself in being a community coffeehouse with good food, and we’re thrilled to be able to offer our customers an opportunity to enjoy the space and connect with one another while they shop with us.”
Good Earth Coffeehouse first opened in Calgary, Alberta in 1991. Today, there are over 40 locations in 6 Canadian provinces.
The company said their menu features ethically sourced coffee and espresso. The beverage menu also includes a variety of cold drinks, including dairy-free smoothies, cold brew, tea lemonades, fresh juices and other seasonal offerings.
The food served at Good Earth is made fresh daily and includes baked goods, hot breakfast items, soups and stews, salads, paninis, flatbreads and desserts.
According to Indigo, its new partnership with Good Earth Coffee house makes sense. Both companies were founded in Canada by women, are committed to sustainable initiatives and embrace community building and collaborating through a variety of programs and charities.
“We are so pleased to partner with a like-minded brand, one which values community and connectedness,” said Nan Eskenazi, Founder of Good Earth Cafes Ltd.
“We believe the social interaction that takes place in our coffeehouses is valuable – as valuable as the exceptional, ethically sourced coffee and fresh food we serve.”
During renovations of in-store cafe spaces, Indigo locations will remain open to the public.
