A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Colwood Tuesday night, according to police.
West Shore RCMP said officers were called at about 7:49 p.m. on December 23rd to reports of shots fired on Fulton Road near Betula Place.
Investigators say witnesses reported that shots were fired from one vehicle toward another, striking the driver.
The injured man was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say no arrests have been made and the incident is believed to have been targeted, with no increased risk to the general public.
The investigation is being led by the West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit, with assistance from Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Services.
Police are asking residents in the area to check home surveillance systems and are also seeking dash camera footage from anyone who was driving in the area between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on December 23rd.
