Now that September has begun and school is back in session, autumn weather is encroaching on the Victoria region quickly.

According to Environment Canada, the rest of this week will remain sunny and summer-like, but beginning Sunday, temperatures will be dropping and rainy conditions will begin to be more prevalent in the region.

On Thursday, September 4th, conditions are predicted to remain partly cloudy and hazy all day long, with highs reaching up to 24°C. Winds blowing at up to 30 km/h will impact the high near the shore in and around Victoria, making the high feel closer to 19°C.

Come Friday, the clouds could clear up a bit, but some cloudy conditions are still to be expected. The high on Friday is expected to remain around 24°C.

Environment Canada predicts that Saturday will be the last semi-nice day for the next while, with a forecasted high of 23°C and partly cloudy conditions moving back into the region.

Sunday is when the forecast begins to get gloomy.

The expected high on Sunday is only expected to reach 19°C and there is a 40% chance of rain through the day, along with a 60% chance of rain through the night.

Monday is forecasted to cool off a bit more with a meagre high of just 18°C and a 60% chance of rain through the day.

On Tuesday and Wednesday next week, temperatures are predicted to be between 18°C and 20°C, with a 30 to 40% chance of rain.

Overnight lows throughout the week will range from 15°C to 13°C, according to Environment Canada.
