Make your best fuzzy pal a celebrity!
Back for another year, the BC SPCA once again partnered with Yellow Dog Brewing for its ‘Make My Pet a Yellow Dog Brewing Star’ photo contest.
This contest runs from September 3rd to 21st, and will give four lucky people the chance to see their cat, dog or other animal featured on a special edition beer that will be sold across BC!
It’s lighthearted fun and also raises funds for the BC SPCA, so you’re giving back to animals in need while you participate.
“The contest brings together not only a committed community of pet parents, but also their animal loving friends and family,” says Melinda Coghill, founder and owner of Yellow Dog Brewing.
“And the best part is that every vote for a favourite pet is also a helping hand for an animal when they need it the most – whether they are facing hunger, pain, loneliness or fear.”
Raised funds support the BC SPCA’s rescue, shelter, medical care services, adoptions and more.
“We’re so excited to see who participates, and which amazing animals will be featured on this year’s beer!” added Coghill.
The three pets with the most votes will each have their image featured on their own can in a four-pack of Yellow Dog Brewing’s limited edition beer. The fourth spot will be chosen through a draw among the pets that receive at least 150 total votes.
Whether your pet is a winner or runner-up, you’ll also receive custom glasses with your pet’s face, digital artwork, Yellow Dog Brewing gift cards and other prizes.
“Whether you’re celebrating a special pet by your side right now, or honouring the memory of a cherished animal, it’s such a meaningful way to show appreciation for these companions who bring joy to our lives,” says Alina Wilson, senior officer, digital giving, BC SPCA.
