As the snow falls and winter settles in, the Victoria Royals are back in action this Tuesday and Wednesday at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
Fans have an extra incentive to enjoy a game this week with a special ticket package that’s sure to warm up the experience!
The Royals have teamed up with Phillips Brewery to offer a $20 ticket deal that includes a cold beer, a hot dog, and of course, a ticket to the game. It’s a great way to enjoy some hockey while indulging in a local favourite.
This week’s games will feature back-to-back matchups against the Kelowna Rockets, a team the Royals already have a big win over this season. Last week, the Royals set a new franchise record for most goals in a single game when they defeated the Rockets 11-1 at Prospera Place.
Following their dominant win over Kelowna, the team suffered a 5-1 loss to the high-powered Spokane Chiefs before bouncing back with a 2-1 victory against the Portland Winterhawks.
Tuesday’s game will feature something extra special: the Superstore’s fan-designed jersey!
The jersey was designed by 4-year-old Mabel, who described her creation in three words: “silly, colourful, and fun.” Mabel’s design draws inspiration from the Royals’ lion head logo, with a splash of vibrant colours that bring a joyful energy to the team’s uniform.
The jerseys worn by the Royals will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to support the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). It’s a great way to support a worthy cause while adding a piece of Royals history to your collection.
The jerseys will be available for online bidding, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the President’s Choice Children’s Charity, which helps feed one million kids each year.
On Wednesday, February 5th, the Royals will host their annual game in support of the CMHA.
This initiative has been close to the team’s heart all season, with Royals goalie Jayden Kraus pledging to donate $1 for every save he has made since November 1st. All funds raised through the 50/50 draw at Wednesday’s game will also go to the CMHA, helping fund local mental health initiatives on Vancouver Island.
Ticket Package Deal with Phillips Brewery
The Phillips Brewery ticket package includes one ticket to the game, a Nathan’s hotdog, and a 355ml can of Phillips Tilt Lager.
The vouchers for the hotdog and beer can be picked up at guest services once the doors open. Fans will need to show photo ID to pick up their vouchers, which can then be redeemed at the Phillips Bar.
