Happy Monday, Victoria! We hope you had a great weekend.

We’re on a mission to make you love Mondays. And there are plenty of events happening in the city happening to help us out!

Whether you want to take part in some pub trivia, music bingo  or catch a flick at the indie theatre, there’s something for everyone.

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Monday, April 27th:

Benji’s Pub Quiz

Head down to the Fernwood Inn for Benji’s famous pub quiz!

Enjoy good laughs, good tunes, average pens and brand new Inky Dinky’s!

Tickets are $14 per person and sold online in tables of four, five, six or eight. They can be purchased here.

Groups of eight or more are asked to email the Fernwood Inn ahead of time with their ticket names so everyone can be seated together.

Support your local artists!

Open Mic Comedy Night at the Mint

Do your friends tell you that you should be a comic? Have you ever wanted to try comedy in front of an audience? This is your chance!

Try stand-up or watch comics try brand new material.

Join ShopTalk Comedy for an open mic at the Mint. New comics are welcome, spots are 3-5 minutes.

Monday Night Music Bingo at Maude Hunter’s Pub

Who doesn’t love some music bingo?

Maude Hunter’s Pub hosts one of the longest-running music bingos in the city. They have it down to a science.

The crowd is loud and the food is tasty.

Just be sure to get there early, the place fills up quickly.

  • When: Monday, April 27th – 8 p.m.

Jimpa at the Vic Theatre

Head down to the Vic Theatre for a showing of Jimpa!

Starring Oscar winners Olivia Colman and John Lithgow alongside Aud Mason-Hyde, Jimpa follows a family’s emotional journey through Amsterdam.

This one was a favourite at the Victoria Film Festival this year with a sold out showing.

You won’t want to miss it!

Tickets are $14.29 plus fees and can be purchased here.

SixtyWatt Trivia at 5th Street Bar and Grill

Head down to 5th street for their weekly pub trivia in partnership with SixtyWatt Trivia!

These events are always a riot.

SixtyWatt is a Victoria-based trivia company that is known as the “Mr. Fix it” of quiet pub nights.

They specialize in sarcasm, banter and some pretty great one liners that you may in fact want to write home about.

With four fun rounds, each team has a chance to rake in the prizes.

Trivia is free to play, but SixtyWatt does ask that you support the venue and purchase some food or beverages.
