Two popular shops set to open at Saanich’s Uptown Shopping Centre

Victoria shoppers and coffee lovers, get ready—Uptown Shopping Centre is about to welcome two exciting additions!

This week, Bluenotes is set to open its doors, bringing its signature blend of casual and trendy apparel to local shoppers.

The well-known Canadian retailer, specializing in denim and streetwear, will launch its second store in the Greater Victoria region.

If all goes to plan, the store will officially open this Friday, January 31st.

And for those who love a good coffee and donut pairing, there’s even more good news—Rhino Coffee House has confirmed to Victoria Buzz that it will be opening a brand-new location at Uptown this summer.

Rhino Coffee House first made a name for itself in Tofino in 2013, quickly becoming a must-visit for both locals and tourists.

Known for its house-roasted coffee, homemade donuts, all-day breakfast, sandwiches, and wraps, the coffee house expanded in February 2022 with a second location in Langford.

In March 2023, Rhino continued its expansion with a third location at Jordie Lunn Bike Park, named in honour of the local downhill mountain biking legend who tragically passed away at a young age.

Now the beloved coffee shop is taking over the former Good Earth Coffeehouse space at Uptown near the corner of Saanich Road and Oak Street by Best Buy.

The new location is expected to open this summer, bringing its signature coffee and handcrafted treats to Saanich and Victoria.

Stay tuned for more updates on both openings as Uptown continues to grow its mix of retailers and dining options!
