VicPD are looking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a hit and run occurred last week.

On Thursday, August 22nd at around 1:20 p.m., a traffic officer responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 900-block of Bay Street near Cook Street.

According to police, the driver of a black pickup truck was travelling east on Bay Street, when they reportedly struck the rear driver-side corner of a car heading westbound.

The truck then continued east before turning south on Cook Street, and the driver of the car was unable to get the truck’s license plate or further description of the truck at the scene.

Police say the truck will likely have damage to the front passenger-side area.

The car that was struck had to be towed due to the damage.

As the investigation continues, VicPD urges the driver of the black pickup to come forward, as well as any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the area at the time of the incident.

If you have any of the above information related to the collision, call VicPD at (250) 995-7654.
