It’s Pride Month, so you know what that means!
Plenty of fabulous, heartwarming, and vibrant Pride events are happening in Victoria and we don’t want you to miss a single one of them.
That is why we have put together this ultimate list, so you can stay up to date and add things to your own calendars!
Without further delay, here are the Pride events happening in and around Victoria in June and July:
Pride Exhibit at Sidney Museum
The Sidney Museum will have a Pride exhibit titled, Reading Between the Lines for Local Queer History on display until the end of June!
The exhibit features information about local Queer history, AIDS on the Saanich
Peninsula, David Tuff’s film Are We Going Backwards?, and items from The
Transgender Archives at the University of Victoria.
It will be on display throughout June and will then become a part of the permanent upstairs gallery.

Sidney Pride Festival
A day of joy, acceptance and celebration for all—the Sidney Pride Festival is back on Saturday, June 15th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Beacon Park, Sidney!
From captivating drag performances to lively music and dancing, attendees are in for an unforgettable experience.
The fun doesn’t end there! As the day winds down, guests are welcome to attend the Cheers for Queers After Party at Small Gods Brewery from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Salon Q: A Pride Cabaret
Metro Studio Theatre is thrilled to present Intrepid Theatre’s event, Salon Q: A Pride Cabaret on Saturday, June 29th!
As described, this campy cabaret features an all local line-up of queer voices, and is a celebration of LIVE performance!
Join your hosts Gouda Gabour and pianist Robert Holliston and fellow community members as they kick off Victoria Pride Week!

Oaklands Queer & Trans Farmers Market
The Oaklands Queer & Trans Farmers Market will feature over 50 local vendors selling all sorts of wonderful goods!
Plus, check out the live music, drag performances, drag story-time, food trucks, a beer garden and more.

- When: Saturday, June 29th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Memorial Drag Ball Game
Don’t miss out on one of Victoria Pride’s signature events, the Memorial Drag Ball Game!
Attendees can expect the classic fun of baseball, a community picnic, laughs and more.

- When: Monday, July 1st from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Big Gay Dog Walk
New year, new location!
Traditionally held along Dallas Road, this year’s beloved Big Gay Dog Walk will be held at Banfield Park on Wednesday evening.
As usual, there will be a dog costume contest and a dog trick competition before the walk along the Gorge Waterway!
Food trucks and vendors will be set up for your pet’s needs, and there will also be a special memorial area where you can commemorate all of your departed pets.

Pride in the Word
Pride in the Word brings audiences a night of captivating Queer Literary Readings on Friday, July 5th!
They’ll be welcoming in many great writers and speakers who will present their work for our community—keep an eye out for the speaker announcement here.
Tickets are by donation, with the suggested amount starting at $10.

- When: Friday, July 5th from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Love Garden: Pride Party
Looking for a night of deep, bassy, house music vibes with all of your Pride pals?
KWENCH is hosting the perfect evening of dance and fun, so gather your squad and strut into Love Garden: Pride Party!
AudioFox, Takahashi, and Nova Jade will have your hips swaying and your heart racing all night long—there will even be some prize giveaways.
Tickets are just over $33 and can be purchased here.

Victoria Pride Parade & Festival in the Park
The time has come for one of the most anticipated Pride events in Victoria!
This large, colourful parade will have well over 100 entries and over 70,000 spectators.
The parade will open at Fisgard and Douglas after the Songhees Nation and other indigenous and Two-Spirit guests of honour give their welcome!
Following the parade, the Pride Festival will commence in McDonald Park in James Bay, with entertainment starting at 1 p.m.
There will be a number of fabulous drag performers and other talented live acts, DJs, over 130 vendors, a food court with plenty favourite local eats and more!
