Calling all fall fiends!

Things are getting chilly outside, and with the cooler weather comes the need to snuggle up, watch scary movies and, of course, go pumpkin picking.

Luckily, Victoria is rich with farms that offer that perfect fall photo or family-friendly afternoon.

Whether you’re bringing the family out or planning the perfect autumn date night, here are 7 pumpkin patches to check out in and around Victoria this October:

Galey Farms

Galey Farms likely holds the title for the most popular pumpkin patch in Victoria, and for good reason.

The folks at Galey go all out for Halloween every year, with a corn maze, ghost town, kid’s haunted house, the magical memory patch and their famous train ride around the property to go alongside the corn maze.

Located on Blenkinsop road, the property is the closest pumpkin patch to those living in Victoria.

They’ve also got a market open in case you want to stop in for some fresh local produce!

Michell’s Farm

Michell’s Farm rivals Galey Farm in popularity, offering one of the largest pumpkin patches in the city.

This wide-open field located along the side of the Pat Bay Highway is in a beautiful location and is perfect for getting that quintessential October pumpkin patch photo.

They’ll be offering U-Pick pumpkin picking all October long, as well as fresh local produce from the market on the property.

While you’re there, make sure to try out the Harvest Road Farm to Table Grill located right next to the market to fuel up after pumpkin picking.

They also host Fright Nights on the property, one of the scarier ways in Greater Victoria to celebrate the haunted season. Attend if you dare!

They’ll also have fresh vegetables available from the farm stand, and make sure to pick some of their Dahlias while you’re there!
