Mexican Independence Fiesta at The Coda
Head down to The Coda for a special night celebrating the independence of Mexico!
Celebrate with friends and family for an evening filled with Mexican music, karaoke, dancing, traditional flavours and lots of fiesta! The event will feature a special performance by Mariachi Sin Frontera and Ballet Folklórico of Victoria.
Grab the microphone and sing your favourite Mexican classics, romantic songs, rancheras, cumbias, Latin hits and more!
DJ Moses “El Pachanguero” will keep the celebration going with a mix of Mexican favourites, cumbia, salsa and Latin party anthems.
Enjoy traditional Mexican food while celebrating one of the most important night of the year for the Mexican community.
Wear your green, white and red, your favourite Mexican outfit or come representing your favourite part of Mexico!

Meet the Candidates at United Commons Church
Head down to a municipal election forum
In preparation for the upcoming municipal election, the North Park Neighbourhood Association is hosting a Candidates Forum to help community members get to know who’s running for Mayor and Council.
This is an opportunity for community members to submit questions to the candidates and hear their responses to these questions live.
As time at the event will be limited, questions will be reviewed and selected by the North Park Neighbourhood Association based on frequency of submission and diversity of theme.
All questions must be submitted in advance, as there will be no live audience questions at the forum.

Reprise – photo-based art exhibition at Gage Gallery
Head to Gage Gallery for the opening night of their new exhibit!
Reprise reunites these three lens-based artists.
After their successful collaboration last fall at the Gage in Light Reigns, Shadows Rule, the trio is expanding in new directions.
Clare is pursuing street photography and mixed media; Anne is continuing to explore the intersection between photography, photomontage and multimedia; Ron is delving into more antique processes such as pinhole cameras.
The artists are supporting the work of Rainbow Haven in this exhibition.
On Tuesday, Clare will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to talk to visitors about the exhibit.
Admission to Gage Gallery is free.
