Back from the long weekend!

This Tuesday is an exciting one, with the Snowbirds performing a demonstration at Dallas Road!

If that’s not your thing, there’s trivia, paddle boarding or a gardening workshop to keep you busy. Or head down to Ship Point and hang out at Ship Point while the sun sets.

There’s plenty to do, get out and get involved this Tuesday!

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Tuesday, August 4th:

Snowbirds demonstration at Dallas Road

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds take to the skies high above Victoria for jaw-dropping aerial performance you won’t soon forget.

Be sure to grab your spot along Dallas Road and the shoreline between Clover Point and Finlayson early. It will be one of the last times to see these iconic jets flyover as they will be retired soon.

This is the team’s first full demonstration in Victoria since 2015, where they will be performing their full high show, filled with spectacular acrobatics, gravity defying maneuvers and roaring jet engines.

Everyone is welcome to watch this high-flying show.

LampPost Beer Bus at Ship’s Point

Every Tuesday and Thursday, the famous Beer Bus is set up at Ship’s Point, along with games and live music.

LampPost knows how to put on a party, and these relaxed events are a great way to spend an evening in the city.

The bus features a rotating selection of local beers, ciders and meads.

Everyone is welcome at these family-friendly events, with games for the little ones and beverages and music for the adults!

Paddle & Pint with Ocean River Sports

Your midweek getaway!

Experience a peaceful evening escape, available only on Tuesdays.

Glide along the calm waters of the gorge from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., then relax with a pint at Swift Brewing.

Trade weekday stress for tranquility and fun.

Whether you choose a SUP, single kayak or tandem kayak, enjoy one-and-a-half hours of easygoing paddling and discover the joy of midweek relaxation.

Free wildlife resilient gardening workshop at the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific

As wildfires grow more frequent and severe, understanding how to design wildfire-resilient gardens is essential for homeowners living near wilderness areas.

This practical and engaging class teaches participants to mimic nature’s protective strategies through soil and water conservation practices and how to make informed choices about plants, mulches, and groundcovers.

It will empower participants to adapt to climate challenges and take proactive steps to reduce wildfire loss, all while enhancing the surrounding environment.

This workshop is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

SixtyWatt Trivia at Heckler’s Bar and Grill

Head down to Heckler’s for their weekly pub trivia in partnership with SixtyWatt Trivia!

These events are always a riot. SixtyWatt is a Victoria-based trivia company that is known as the “Mr. Fix it” of quiet pub nights.

They specialize in sarcasm, banter and some pretty great one liners that you may in fact want to write home about.

With four fun rounds, each team has a chance to rake in the prizes.

Trivia is free to play, but SixtyWatt does ask that you support the venue and purchase some food or beverages.
