The FIFA World Cup is finally here and excitement is building across Canada as Vancouver prepares to host several matches during the tournament.
For soccer fans in Greater Victoria, one local restaurant is positioning itself as a go-to destination to catch all the action.
Located in Vic West at #100 – 184 Wilson Street, Browns Crafthouse Vic West is gearing up for a summer of soccer with all-day Happy Hour throughout the World Cup, multiple big-screen viewing options and special promotions for fans.
“We want to create a fun atmosphere where people can come together and enjoy the games,” said the team at Browns Crafthouse Vic West.
The restaurant features a dozen televisions throughout the venue, including two large 100-inch screens, ensuring there isn’t a bad seat in the house when kickoff begins.
Better yet, Canada matches will be shown with the sound on, giving supporters the full game-day experience.
Browns is also planning a Canada jersey giveaway during Canada’s World Cup matches, with details expected to be announced soon.
The tournament itself promises to be historic.
For the first time ever, the FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams, up from 32 in previous editions. The expanded format will see 104 matches played across North America over 39 days.
Canada, the United States and Mexico are jointly hosting the event, marking the first men’s World Cup to be shared by three countries. Vancouver is one of 16 host cities and will welcome several matches throughout the tournament.
Whether you’re gathering with friends, organizing a watch party or simply looking for a lively atmosphere to cheer on Canada, Browns Crafthouse Vic West says it can accommodate large reservations for groups.
The restaurant opens daily at 11 a.m. and may offer earlier openings for select high-demand matches.
Fans can also take advantage of daily specials, including $3 off draft beer every Monday, while enjoying World Cup action from start to finish.
Weekend visitors can stop in for breakfast before the day’s matches begin, while those bringing along their four-legged friends can take advantage of the restaurant’s dog-friendly patio.
Canada opens its tournament in Toronto on June 12th before heading west for a June 18th matchup against Qatar in Vancouver.
With World Cup fever spreading across the country, Browns Crafthouse Vic West is inviting local fans to make it their home base for one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.
