Happy Monday, Victoria!

After a weekend filled with events like TD JazzFest, Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival and the Great Canadian Bash, we hope you’re not too tired for more fun things to do this Monday!

With the Gorge Farmers Market on, as well as an Indigenous fashion show at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, free Cha-Cha-Cha dance classes at Ship Point and more, there’s plenty to start your week off with some entertaining things to do.

These events are a little more relaxed, but still a great opportunity to get out and do something fun.

Here are 5 things to do in and around Victoria this Monday, June 29th:

The Gorge Farmers Market

The Gorge Farmers Market is finally back!

Happening every Monday until September 21st, the Gorge Farmers market will be setting up shop in Gorge Park.

This year, the market is celebrating its fifth season. Local food, live music, a beautiful view of the Gorge Waterway and over 50 vendors.

Get down to Gorge Park and buy local! The market is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

  • When: Monday, June 29th – 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Indigenous Fashion Show and Auction at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre

Get yourself down to ctsetéws stsyex – The G Wiz Fashion Show and Auction!

Help send Victoria’s Drag Lich King and BC’s Next Drag Queerdo to ThrustFest 2026, an International Drag King Festival!

ctsetéws stsyex is secwepmec for ‘clothing worn at midnight.’

This is a solo-exhibition of unique, one-of-a-kind pieces and streetwearables; experience an evening of gothic, indigipunk local talent; support disabled, trans, 2Spirit art; a silent auction showcases local artisans and donated art, a feast for the eyes of eclectic, mystical finds.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here.

Free Beginner Cha-Cha-Cha Dance Class and Social at Ship Point

Join us from June 1 to September 7 every Monday night for our free outdoor beginner Latin dance classes at Ship’s Point.

These events are sponsored by the City of Victoria

Class time is 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., followed by social dancing and practice from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m

The social dancing portion is the perfect time to practice what you’ve learned, connect with others, and get 1-on-1 help from instructors Adam Hanna and Katherine Olivieri.

Last year, there were 100 plus dancers at almost every class — don’t miss out on this incredible summer tradition.

Dance, connect and enjoy summer by the water!

The class is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Super Smash Bros Tournament at Pinhalla

In Collaboration with Pinhalla Pinball Pizzeria, Brady Chan has another exciting tournament series coming to Victoria!

The event is BYOC – Bring your own Controller.

Organizers say setups are also appreciated to ensure the event runs smoothly. If you cannot bring a full setup, bring your controller!

Support the Venue by purchasing food or drinks, or better yet, try some of the Pinball Machines out at the venue!

Entry is $10 and can be purchased here.

SixtyWatt Trivia at The Brass Monkey

Head down to The Brass Monkey for their weekly pub trivia in partnership with SixtyWatt Trivia!

These events are always a riot.

SixtyWatt is a Victoria-based trivia company that is known as the “Mr. Fix it” of quiet pub nights.

They specialize in sarcasm, banter and some pretty great one liners that you may in fact want to write home about.

With four fun rounds, each team has a chance to rake in the prizes.

Trivia is free to play, but SixtyWatt does ask that you support the venue and purchase some food or beverages.
