Rain is back in Greater Victoria’s weather forecast this week

After a couple weeks of sunny conditions, Greater Victoria is in for a cloudy, rainy week.

According to Environment Canada, this week will start out with one last day of sun on Monday, May 11th. The high on Monday will be 21°C, with sunny conditions through the day and some cloud encroaching in the evening. The overnight low is expected to be around 10°C.

Tuesday is when sunny days become a thing of Victoria’s past for a short while. The forecast is calling for a mix of sun and cloud in the morning before the clouds take over, with a 60% chance of showers in the afternoon and evening. The high is expected to reach 22°C, while the low will be 12°C, with rain through the night. 

On Wednesday, Environment Canada is calling for a cloudy day with a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C overnight. 

Thursday’s forecast is similarly cloudy throughout the day and evening. The high is expected to reach only 16°C, while the overnight low will be around 8°C with periods of rain. 

Friday is expected to be the coldest day of the week with the high only reaching a predicted 14°C. There is a 60% chance of rain through the day and overnight, the low will drop down to 7°C. There is a 40% chance of rain through the night. 

On Saturday and Sunday, more rain is expected, with a 30% chance of rain through the weekend and highs are expected to be between 15°C and 16°C. Overnight lows will drop down to around 7°C. 

In the past six years, May long weekend in Victoria has been rainy in both 2025 and 2023, while other years have been generally clear-skied and warm.
