Victoria’s cruise season continues to ramp up this week with more than a dozen cruise ship visits scheduled at Ogden Point, bringing tens of thousands of passengers through the city from Monday, May 18th to Sunday, May 24th.
The week already got underway Monday with the arrival of the Carnival Spirit, which arrived at 8 p.m. and remained in port until midnight with approximately 2,124 passengers onboard before departing for Seattle.
Tuesday was expected to see the arrival of the Coral Princess from Los Angeles, scheduled to arrive at noon and depart at midnight with nearly 2,000 passengers onboard. However, the stop was later cancelled.
Things pick back up Wednesday with the arrival of Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, which is scheduled to dock from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. carrying roughly 2,081 passengers. Later that evening, the Carnival Miracle is expected to arrive at 8 p.m. and stay until midnight with another 2,124 passengers onboard.
Thursday is shaping up to be one of the busiest cruise days of the week as both the Norwegian Joy and Voyager of the Seas make stops in Victoria.
The Norwegian Joy is scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. and depart at 6 p.m. carrying approximately 3,883 passengers, while the Voyager of the Seas is also scheduled for an 8 a.m. arrival but will remain in port until 8 p.m. with roughly 4,000 passengers onboard.
Friday evening will see three more major ships arrive including the Norwegian Bliss, Eurodam and Royal Princess.
The Norwegian Bliss is expected at 8 p.m. with approximately 4,250 passengers, while the Eurodam will also arrive at 8 p.m. carrying around 2,104 passengers. The Royal Princess is currently scheduled for a 8:15 p.m. arrival with roughly 3,560 passengers onboard.
All three vessels are expected to remain in port until midnight.
Saturday continues the busy stretch with the Star Princess arriving at 7 p.m. carrying approximately 4,300 passengers. Later that evening, the Noordam and Norwegian Encore are both scheduled to arrive at 8 p.m., bringing an additional 1,918 and 3,998 passengers respectively. All three ships are expected to depart just before midnight.
The week wraps up Sunday with the arrival of Royal Caribbean’s massive Anthem of the Seas, which is capable of carrying nearly 5,000 passengers. The ship is scheduled to arrive at 3 p.m. and depart at 10 p.m.
Later that evening, the MSC Poesia is expected to dock at 8 p.m. with approximately 3,013 passengers onboard before departing just before midnight.
In total, approximately 42,000 cruise passengers are expected to arrive in Victoria between Monday and Sunday, despite Tuesday’s cancelled sailing.
Since the start of Victoria’s 2026 cruise season in April, Ogden Point has already welcomed an estimated 95,000-plus passengers across dozens of cruise ship visits. Some of the largest ships to visit so far this season have included the Anthem of the Seas, Star Princess and Norwegian Bliss.
As for the weather, cruise passengers may want to keep umbrellas handy for much of the week. Forecasts are calling for mostly cloudy conditions through Thursday, though Wednesday is expected to bring a few sunny breaks.
Friday and Saturday are currently shaping up to be the sunniest days of the week for visitors exploring Victoria.
